Black Friday fun at Target'

Black Friday has always been something the hubby and I have explored...one year, we got out tempur-pedic and had to give up after that because my daughter (now 3) pooed on my hubby:). Then, last year, with twins in tow we bought a HUGE internet flat screen TV.  We always have luck finding one big item at a great deal.

I always have Target as one of my go-to places to find toys and stocking stuffers at great prices on Black Friday.  I always check out the ad to see what's worth checking out so I'm not scouring the aisles if the store is packed.  (Which, of course they will be:). I'd say if it's worth it to you; just go early and get it over with.  Get the great deal and avoid the lines:).

I'm also about double dipping.  So, have coupons for spending $50 and above, get the cartwheel app and sign up for Target mobile coupons.  I'd also say to check for manufacturer coupons.  If you're looking for a deal you have to find it sometimes and this is the time to do it.:). Hope this helps!!:)

I'm beyond excited about this collab!!!

I've been gushing over Pendleton since I got to Portland in October.  I've been going to the mills, the different stores in the Portland area, and I'm going to take the Pendleton tour!:). I've also SCORED some vintage Pendleton from Buffalo Exchange and I'm going to get some from Poshmark.  (I'm a little obsessed:)

So, I was crazy excited when I opened up my email from Mara Hoffman today (ok, I'm on the mailing list:) and lo and behold there is a collab between two of my faves Mara Hoffman + Pendleton !!!!!  Beach towels for $77!!  Eeek!  I'm beyond excited and had to share:)

Let's get moving with the Ford Fiesta Movement

I'm all about a car that reflects a persons style so when I heard about the opportunity to share something different Ford was doing to promote their Ford Fiesta I had to jump on it!  Who doesn't want a car with a little edge, a great price, and everything you need in this modern age since you use your car to get everywhere.

Ford is having "agents" showcase how the Ford Fiesta moves them.  Here are a few videos that catch my attention and I thought others might be interested in seeing.  What do you think of this car?  Would you rock it?  If I didn't have 3 kids that need to be in car seats and getting so much in my car I would so check this out!  Until I'm down to one car I'm just sharing:)

*Videos seem to work better in Safari on MAC's.

Check out more videos like these at fiestamovement.com.

The reason the natural hair movement is so strong right now...

Is because we are all sharing hair care tips, products and styles via social media.  I love looking to Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest for inspiration.  Here are a few curly hair experts I recommend following:

Holiday is where the heart is

I'm used to spending Thanksgiving with my family and sadly, this year my husband is away from us and next year we will be in India.  So, being with family is very precious and so are traditions that remind us of our family we might be away from.  For my family, certain special dishes are what remind is of our family.  Every holiday season my mom makes homemade dinner rolls and Kenny Rogers cornbread that everyone is just waiting to have:). I've started to make the same for my family every year as a staple for the menu each year.

We dress up the amazing food each ear with beautiful dishes that give old favorites a new feel.  The same way I dress up my food I still always love dressing up for Thanksgiving even if we are all relaxing and enjoying time together.  I feel like holidays are a time to dress things up with decor and your ensembles:)

What do you do to dress up your holidays?  What are your traditions?

Styling trick: layering long skirt under shorter skirt

Styling trick to try: layering long skirts under knee length skirts and dresses

I saw this styling in the December issue of Glamour and couldn't stop thinking about playing with all of the items I have in my closet.  The thing to remember is to layer with flowy long pieces and the top portion should be a-line like a pencil skirt.  This is perfect for people like me that don't like the really short lengths offered at stores like Target and Forever.  Play with layering different prints, textures and lengths on the bottom piece to keep it interesting.  Here are a few layering ideas:

Fun items for memorable celebrations from Target, plus a GIVEAWAY!!

As I've shared before, my hubby and I didn't have a traditional wedding or reception.  Right after we got married we went to the house and had pizza:). We did finally have a reception to celebrate in India and it was amazing!!!  The greatest celebration ever!  Which made me think that any celebration you have for marital bliss should reflect your style.  I also love the idea of sharing the celebrations with all of your friends and family and not limiting to a certain amout of people or just male or female.

If budget is an issue, Target is right there to help you create a fab event on a budget that reflects you and your honeys style.

Here are a few items from the catalog (http://wedding.catalogs.target.com/#/page/13) I would include in my reception.

I'd say a signature place setting always sets the mood and reflects the couples style.

Sweets are a must and I'd say the time and effort taken into mixing and cooking it makes it so worth it in the end!

The best way to finish off a fun and festive event: a hot cup of coffee of course:)

In the end, it's all about being around the ones you love and enjoying those amazing memories that you will look back on one day:)

Happy holidays!

The giveaway:
visit the Target Wedding Catalog and select your favorite product for a reception.  Leave a comment about why that product is their favorite for that party for the chance to win a $25 Target GiftCard.

The perfect accessory for Fall: hats, hats, hats

What I'm wearing:
Scala hat, Paige Denim Jeans, diy top, Minnetonka Moccasins, Free People necklace

I'm wild about hats and exploring ways that I can still rock them with curly hair besides sticking my hair into a slicked back bun.  I will be sharing my inspiration in a post soon.

Today's post was inspired by B. Jones Style blog who had worn a fishermans style hat with plaid and I knew I had to recreate the look with my pieces:).

I received the hat from Scala so I was excited to finally test out what they sent.  I thought the curls worked perfect with the hat and they actually didn't look as bad as I expected when I took the hat off:)

How are you rocking hats this fall?  Are curls involved?
