More homemade beauty tricks to try

I'm clearing out like I said and finding great tips I have to share:)  Here are a few I'm trying ASAP!

My feet are SUPER swollen since I'm almost due and I just read an old In Style mag tip I'll be trying tonight:
Soak achy feet in warm water and sea salt for 10 min, then in cold water for 10 min.  The foot bath eases soreness and reduces SWELLING!

Eyes: Soak cotton balls in water, then leave them in the freezer until icy.  Lie down with them over closed eyes for 10 min to deflate puffiness.

Great tips on when to shop:

January: Fall merchandise usually goes on clearance, and you'll find great buys on home goods, from linens to furniture.

February: Take advantage of Valentine's Day promotional deals on jewelry and gift items.

April: Spring fashions begin the markdown cycle.

May: Look for deals on athletic clothing and shoes.

June and July: Find sales and promo's on summer items through July, when they go on clearance.  Father's Day promo's mean good offerings for men, so stock up on holiday gifts for them.

September and October: Find deals on cold-weather items, like coats, gloves, and scarves.

November: Many after-Thanksgiving sales and deals are set and advertised before the holiday, so you can often shop early and beat the crowds.

December: Fall merchandise goes on sale.

Tips for when to shop from People Style Watch Mag:

The Best days of the week are:
Wednesday for jewelry
Thursday for Clothes

The Best Month is August

Fun note I must have taken from a mag:
Other options for Turkish towels (which I'm addicted to): Double as wraps, warm weather blankets, living room throws.  Still have to try these:)

Inspired by Rihanna's look on Oprah's Interview

What Rihanna wore on her interview with Oprah last night

Rose print dress
$100 - joythestore.com

Converse star shoes
$61 - blueberries-online.com

I of course watched Rihanna interviewed by Oprah yesterday and instantly LOVED her shades (which are kinda pricey...on sale for $310!) as well as a fresh new way to rock a somewhat dressy floral maxi dress (Marc Jacobs Resort 2013) with converse which just gave it so much edge.  Would you rock a girly maxi with some Converse?  I'm already planning on trying it out!

Great tips to try...

I'm going through all of my old clippings and thought I'd share a few things that stand out:

-From People Mag: How to use Baking Soda (ONLY $1!) Use it to exfoliate!  Mix 3 parts baking soda into 1 part water for a face and body scrub.  Get fresh breath!  Stir 1 teaspoon into a half a glass of water, then swish!

-From Glamour Mag: The quickest way to glam up hair; Hit a fabric store for buttons that look like antique brooches.  Bobby pin them into a bun or attach to a headband.

-From Glamour Mag: Yogurt as a moisturizer: Grate the skin of a cucumber, mix it with plain yogurt and leave it on for 20 min.

-From Lucky Mag: Trick of the Trade: Getting rid of musty smells:
-What you'll need: One cup distilled white vinegar, plastic hangers, and a bathtub.
-How it's done: Fill your bathtub with steaming water.  Mix in one cup of white vinegar (Heinz is Mullin's pick).  Next, hang your sweaters on plastic hangers and string them along the shower rod or any convenient spot directly above the tub.  Shut the door to allow the steam to penetrate the fibers overnight.

8 Southwest styles by Mossimo at Target that I'm digging

24850_Free Shipping When You Spend $50 on Select Women's Finds.
I honestly want all of the items above and everything is less than $25 each!  We shall see which items I end up getting...I only saw a couple of these pieces in store...so we shall see if they get more in...I like to see it first at Target to ensure the quality is as good as it looks.  But, the backpack just might need to be an exception to that rule:)

How did I miss out on the M.A.C. Manish collection in 2008?

I just found out about the collab that happened back in 2008 and couldn't believe I had missed out on this!  I of course searched eBay and thankfully found a lipgloss...prices were marked up like crazy!!!  I would have bought the eyeshadow palette just for the case...but, at almost $90 I was like I'll just settle for a lipgloss...did anyone else get there hands on any of these pieces in 2008?

Nor Black Nor White
This video is amazing...I love to see how items are created.  They make Indian prints remixed with new designs.  I want it all and I'm trying to find where I can get the items online.  They have been recognized by so many magazines.  They have the best instagram and blog!  Check it out and get ready to be inspired!

International Princess Project selling Punjammies
This is a great company that keeps girls and women from being placed into sex slavery.  It's so scary that this still happens today.
