I think foodies are just like fashionistas...they want to dress up whatever they have...so, I would say that there kitchens look like a million dollars...so, why not add to the fabulosity of their kitchen for Christmas???

I think Padma Lakshmim's HSN collection, Easy Exotic is the way to go.  There are fabulous teas and glass tea pots.  Plus, porcelain prep bowl sets that are sure to make your friend happy to be in the kitchen mixing something up:)

So, I took it to the taylor and had the sleeved chopped off. (I always bring in my inspiration images.) Now, I know I'll be wearing it all the time.

The items that caught my eye at COACH today

We were Christmas shopping today and I was surprised at the AMAZING prices and styles at COACH today...I'm always on an on again, off again relationship with COACH...but, I will always look at them as the first "designer" bag I ever owned.  Although I would never wear the coach labeled bags anymore...I really LOVE the new blogger styled bags...they catch my eye with the styling...they have a feeling of the Marc Jacobs edge without the higher price point...and the jewelry is starting to have the whimsical Kate Spade feel, once again without the high price point.  My sister-in-law even told me that they had sent her a 25% off coupon!  It can't get any better than that!  I've also decided I need to go to a Coach outlet...I remember I was digging a collection I saw during my babymoon in Hawaii in June.

Here are some of the items that caught my eye today:

kristin leather pleated satchel
$398
*I wish they had done this bag in taupe and gold...but, I guess I wasn't one of the bloggers to share my thoughts...yet:)

cambria tartan flat
On Sale for only $69

new poppy cupchain four strand bracelet
I'm in love...too bad this is so much at $228:)

Padma Laksmi's personal mix of oils to create her perfect scent

I'm headed to The Body Shop ASAP to create this  mix...I found this in the new book, The Ellements of Personal Style...pick it up for more insider tips and tricks.

Ingredients:
25 drops Neroli Essential Oil
30 drops Gerranium Essential Oil
20 drops Rose Essential Oil
10 drops Mandarin or Tangerine Essential Oil
5 drops Bay or Laurel-Leaf Essential Oil
Jojoba Oil for body, bath or massage oil

For Concentrated Perfume:
"Mix the above into 1/2 ounce of jojoba oil, then pour it into a vial with a tight lid through a small funnel.  After bathing, dab on pulse points and rub a few drops into the ends of long hair in the summer."

For Body, Bath, or Massage Oil:
"Mix the above quantities of essential oils into 4 ounces of jojoba oil and shake vigorously before each use."

These are great gift ideas too...I would use a perfume bottle from Anthropologie like this one:

Perfume bottle, $38

These are two ideas from the Nate Berkus show that I am doing right away

P.S. These are good gift ideas too.:

Magnet Brooches
A great way to repurpose an old brooch or vintage earrings or jewelry is to turn your old item into a new, decorative magnet. Cut off the back of the brooch with a wire cutter, and add a magnet from the craft store with a glue gun. You'll have beautiful magnets that you can use on your refrigerator, in your home office, or any space where you can hang a magnetic message board. Instead of wasting space in your drawers, you'll be able to admire and use your brooches every day!
Framed Trays
Turn your vintage frames into decorative serving trays with only an 1/8th of a yard of fabric! Put your favorite fabric underneath the glass of your frame, and you'll create a beautiful tray you can display in your bathroom, on a side table in your living room, or even use as a serving tray. Everything looks better if it's displayed on a beautiful tray!
Before you give anything away in your home for good, consider these last ditch design ideas and turn your trash into treasure!

The book to give this season for every fashionality: The Ellements of Personal Style

This book is HOT!  I've been seeing everyone talking about this.  And, once I received the book to review I was in LOVE!  I love the layout...Most magazine's the publish books give you all the items you need in your closet and share inspiration from celeb style.  But, this book does it all different.  Right away the layout pulls you in; it reminds me of how my favorite magazine, SUEDE used to be laid out.  It looks like a funky collage that pulls together all of the things that these fashionistas love.  The magazine (Joe Zee) pulled a variety of styles, age groups and types of celebs to share in this book.  And not only did they share the celebs fashion sense, but also their sense of decor.  So, be inspired and share this with a fashionista friend or family member this holiday season!

Here are my favorite fashion star sections:

Tracee Ellis Ross
DVF
Padma Lakshmi
Margherita Missoni
Janie Bryant
Fatima Robinson

Things going on in the web for fashion

From the WWD app:
"Gilt Groupe’s Unracked, a new Web series hosted by Scoop founder Stefani Greenfield, launched on Monday. The eight- episode series features Stefani interviewing a slew of fashion and lifestyle personalities, including Molly Sims, Diane von Furstenberg, and Gossip Girl’s Eric Daman. Sims was the guest this week, and Diane con Furstenberg appears in the episode that goes live on Dec. 13, which can be found at gilt.com/unracked.

People StyleWatch’s new social media contest debuted in conjunction with the magazine’s December issue. The multi-platform initiative, which will roll out quarterly, promotes advertisers’ brands through social networks and creates lists of the most active users in the social media arena. Once a visitor logs on to holidaycliques.com, they are able to browse through items such as a fragrance and handbag from Marc Jacobs, a tote from Tory Burch, or makeup from Smashbox (to name a few). All users have to do is share their favorite products via social media outlets like Twitter, Facebook or email, and the person with the most shares actually wins that item. In addition to engaging its target audience, Holiday Cliques allows People StyleWatch to gain insight into the brands that readers are most likely to gravitate towards, as well as serve as a resource tool for the participating advertisers.

New Web site ToVieFor.com is part gaming and part shopping, which founders Melanie Moore and Susanne Greenfield developed with the “urban fashionista” in mind. What sets this one apart from other flash sale sites is the fact that ToVieFor focuses on current season merchandise, and it also possesses game-like components to create buzz."

Jennifer Lopez looks so amazing in these Gucci ads!

I love her makeup, I love her hair...she is my new inspiration everyday I run!

Jennifer Lopez's Twins Gucci Ad Campaign (Behind the scenes)

JLO so inspires me...and Sahara will sooo be rocking this!!! (when she get's a little older and stops growing so fast:)

The watches I never knew about from FOSSIL

For some reason I never stepped foot into any Fossil store because I thought the watches were all very casual...which, really isn't my style...although I really don't wear watches for time...just for accessory of course I rarely go shopping for them...but, for some reason, I received a catalog in the mail for FOSSIL and the ad caught my eye so I started flipping and found out that there are A LOT of watches I would rock from them.  I'm not holding back, so excuse the many images.  Plus, the price is great at about $100 each (ranging from $95-105)

I love the clear for this watch!  I could do without the rhinestones though...

I LOVE rose gold!  I wanted to get the Michael Kors watch for $250...but, I might have to get this one instead...will have to go and see this in person.  Only $95!

I LOVE the white with the rose gold!  So chic!

I LOVE all things tortoise!  I could do without rhinestones again though:)

Another way to use a Christmas ornament

I LOVE this ornament from Pier 1 and I plan on decorating my rear view mirror with it.  Just get a string or cute ribbon to tie around the rear view mirror and voila a fancy way to update your car decor:)

Your Stylish Tree and much more from Pier 1 Imports

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.

This is my first year really decorating for the holidays and I am so excited to start creating the memories that my new little gift will remember for years to come.  Everything from the tree to gifts are on my mind now and I've noticed that one of the best places to go for everything is Pier 1 Imports.

So far, I've gotten the ornaments for the tree that go perfect with our East Indian decor.  There are so many options to choose from.  I personally LOVE this peacock!

For gifts, I love to get stocking stuffers from Pier 1.  They have so many fun gifts for the kid in all of us to the fashionista we all are:)  Plus, the prices are all AMAZING!  You get so much!

These are all fun for stuffers...but, if you aren't sure what to get your loved one as a gift...then use the online holiday gifts that helps you find the perfect gift at the eholiday giftsholiday giftsholiday giftsPier 1xact price point you are looking for.

Finally, it's all about entertaining.  Having friends and family over to celebrate the holidays.  Since this is my first year to host I had to buy a few must-haves to get into the spirit.

It's all about the drinks to start off the evening of course...so I love the color of these glasses and the tray makes it feel very classy, old school.

Any host knows you also need just the right serving dishes and Pier 1 offers so many different styles for any type of event; from a casual dinner party to a full-on holiday soiree.

Plus, during the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register.  And, for every new fan that Pier 1 gets on Facebook, they will donate $1 for Toys for Tots so we can all be in the season of giving.

Get to the Swim Spot

Don't you hate when it's time to find a swim suit and none of the stores in your area have styles that you are looking for??  And you see styles you like online but don't want to deal with paying for shipping and returns if the swim suit doesn't look right when you get it?  Fear no longer...I've found a site called, Swimspot through the Lucky Magazine Alpha Shopper group that allows you to shop through different brands from Hurley to Ella Moss and ships and returns for FREE!  There are styles for every lady from teens to adult.  Plus, cover-ups.

The site is also genius not just because of style selections and brands, but because there is a fit specialist program.  You can email or call a specialist, or personal shopper you could say to help you find the perfect suit for your body type.  And, if you just don't have time to reach out, check out their sample selections of each body type to give you direction for your shopping.

Get the all-American girly look with Tommy Tommy Hilfiger's swimwear and cover-ups.

I LOVE paisleys, so this is the first style that caught my eye:)

I love this funky print and that you can add one strap to make this suit look new when your out on your vaca.

Cute cover-ups by Ella Moss:

Such a cute retro style.

I love how you could wear this cover-up as a top!

REEF trendy style...I'm in LOVE!

The site is smart because depending on your size you might like a print but can't wear a top or bottom in a certain style so you can use the Bikini Builder that allows you to mix and match the styles you like and that work with your body type.  The only catch is that there are only 4 brands you can choose from and they provide the styles you can mix and match.  But, still a lot of fun!

Deal Tip:
Sign up to be a Swimspot VIP and get $25 off of a $100 purchase which is pretty easy since you are buying separates from the site!

After checking out this site to share with you for the Lucky magazine Alpha Shoppers I can't wait to share with you what I get with the $100 gift card I am receiving for reviewing the site.  Stay tuned.

Saks now has a blog--check out more info here

Info from WWD app:

"SAKS SPEAKS: How times change. Five years ago, social media guru, author and NYU professor Clay Shirky mused in WWD about whether Saks Fifth Avenue would ever have a blog. He predicted it would, though at the time it seemed hard to imagine a retailer as elegant and venerable as Saks blogging. What would a luxury department store blog about? And why?

He turned out to be right, though. Today, Saks unveils The Saks Point of View (sakspov.com), a magazine in blog form whose subject is Saks itself. Posts will include interviews with designers, profiles of people who work at Saks, trends and inspiring people. There will be posts on sapphire rings, fashion director Colleen Sherin’s favorite Manhattan haunts and the exclusive holiday dresses in Saks’ windows. The store is hardly the only one to add more magazine-like content to its Web site lately. Barneys New York added its B-Sides blog last year, and Bergdorf Goodman debuted 5th at 58th in May.

“There is more of an emphasis on editorial,” said president of Saks Direct Denise Incandela. “We find customers respond very well to that, they look to us as a fashion authority for that. If you look at us now versus two years ago, you will see a big shift there. It’s very well received by customers, and we measure that in terms of traffic as well as sales conversions.”

In addition to its blog, the retailer has added more videos and articles on trends in its women’s apparel section, including picks from Glenda Bailey and a photo diary from streetwear photographer Tommy Ton. As for user-generated content, in November it broke new ground for a luxury store when it added customer reviews. — Cate T. Corcoran"

I'm so obsessed with anything with style so I have to have these toothbrushes

I just spotted the new Reach by design toothbrush that is out and I think it would be another fun stocking stuffer. Why not brush with style and add this to your travel/overnight bag. Plus, these a dollar off coupon on the site! I want the zebra print of course.

***check out page 41 in the Holiday issue of People Style Watch to see how you can get a cute notebook that reminds me of a Smythson version if you send in your receipt after buying the toothbrush:)
